One thing I've noticed just there now, and it may not be a bug but I dunno.

When you click New Posts, are the posts supposed to be ordered with the newest first. Cos them seem a little muddled up.

I think you can change that option in your own userCP options.

So you can change how you want them ordered, new first or new last.

EDIT: I see what you mean, must be something odd, try refreshing cache's. Because we've messed about a bit with the templates tonight, it may well of mucked it up.

Just noticed that sometimes the line the sub forums are on are shifted ie the mk3 ibiza forum is normally split between line 1 and 2 and sometimes is all on line 2. Its the same with the leon section above.

So are you going to make any other forum colours/skins so we can select as we please in control panel? i.e. A work safe boring plain looking theme would be really appeciated, or is this not possible? i.e. Basiclaly like it used to look with avatars and sigs turned off looked nice and plain.

There won't be any colour change or differing versions of this skin. As I've already said above, neither myself or m0rk feel the forum should have its design handicapped by other people's work ethic. Sadly if you can't view the forum at work then don't, or only do it when your allowed to.

If you want to turn off signatures, avatars etc you can still do this by going into edit options in your USER CP or use the link below to take you to it direct.

Yeah I still do view the forums with sigs and avatars off cheers - thats really a personal preference of mine anyway.
I think that's pretty naive to sum up what I said as having it's "design handicapped by other people's work ethic". I can view whatever I like at work, but it's fairly obvious from a distance if someone is on a productive website for work purposes or a car forum for example. Don't get me wrong, they look great the new forums and a good job has been done, but the reality of it is - whether you like to admit it or not - that a lot of people view forums whilst at work and would benefit from a less "obvious" skin so to speak. That's the only reason I was asking. I appreciate that that is not your problem, but a "work safe" skin wouldn't be too hard to develop imo.
:)

Cheers

Thats the thing though, I don't care if people view it at work or not. That's upto them entirely, but I don't believe we have a duty to create more work for ourselves to make it 'work safe'. Which however you gloss it up comes down to your ethical approach to viewing non productive sites in the work place. It's not something we believe we have to be responsible for.

Fair enough matey, you guys probably work hard enough as is. But surely you should be wanting the maximum amount of fellow SCN forum members posting at all costs? ;)

I'm sure the guys will be watching the statistics of the user activity and if it drops quite significantly a simple solution could be put it place, but I wouldn't expect it to drop that much...

We do of course monitor stats. So far nothing significant to report but it has only been a couple of days. However user registrations are at all time records and posts and threads are busy as ever.

We might look into another option or variable skin. But this has taken a lot of time, effort and money to get this far. So you'll have to forgive us if were less than enthusiastic about making extra work for ourselves.
