Thats a bargain for the labour and machiening! i wasnt banking on that much for all the gaskets though, looks like a little more saving is needed. Did you do the engine mounts at the same time?
Head gaskets ain't cheap it's all the little things you need that I never thought about that rise the costs like oil pump all the internal stuff like valve stem seals all that stuff.
right cars back on the road all up and running sweet going in for a new bumper and bonnet spray on wednesday also fitted my forge fmic today with help from patch b.
Haven't got it mapped yet got to bills got it dynoed and she was running very lean fooked fuel pump so getting a lcr pump fitted then going back in two weeks for dyno and map bad day but it happens
Yer your right it's always somthing but it feels like the last hurdle now I can't wait to just have it running decent power so I can stop spending for a while.
She pulled only 189 bhp with a wrecked fuel pump lol
It's a 200 miles round trip not too bad but I wouldent got anywhere else top bloke
alright mate u came in my ibiza this weekend just wondered where did u get ur forged pistons nd rods from nd how much were they and do you have vr6 clutch and g60 flywheel
No couldent map it basically my engine is too efficient to run a generic map such as stage 2 so it needs a custom map but that's 600 ish pound and not worth it for a tiny ko3s so I'm just going to save for big turbo/ hybrid.
It's pushing 210bhp on stage one fast enough for now New wheels fitted and full aligned.
Yer will do when I get a chance to clean it up. fuel pump was doing far more damage than just taking away 20 bhp was running stupidly lean. I think I got away with it. Forged pistons and rods can take the heat from running lean all is well now tho.
Give me a buzz in the week and I'll let you have a go see what you think
evap system now removed also started preping for summer track days. apart from that im happy enough for now going to clear all my debts and save for a hybrid turbo or bt undecided yet going to slowly gather parts but im happy with it for now.
