Wondering if anyone can help.

Are there any hardware differences between the 150/184 fr or is it purely software?

Thanks

And i think that 184 has bigger turbo. 150 can be remap to 190PS and 400NM and 184 to 230PS and 470NM

as mentioned, bigger brakes and different rear suspension, which you can see by looking at them.

Read somewhere that the 184 has bigger turbo and larger injectors.

This may be more of an age or software difference, but I recently had a '16 plate 184 loaner while my 13' plate 150 was in for some work. Both equal spec otherwise and both DSG. The gearing on the 184 is quite different; in equal driving scenarios and speeds, the 184 sits at a higher engine speed, whereas my 150 can't wait to get to 6th gear!

I've had both 184 + 150 (diesels) the 184 does have more pull. its not massive to tell the difference at first but when you put your foot down in 6th - the 184 pulls - the 150 has to go down to 5th to have the same affect. it's little things like this that make the difference - 184 is a nicer drive (in my opinion)
