FR TDI going in for warranty work

Hi,

My 05 plat FR TDI is going into garage in march to have some repairs done mainly to fix a rattle in the dash board, problem with electric mirrors adjusting both at same time instead of just one on drivers side, remote key fob has also broken.

However my main worry at the moment is I have a stain on the drivers seat which looks like water could possibly have leaked in when i opened the door during the winter to get in, i though it had maybe come in from faulty seals but dealer has never heard of any problems of water leaking onto drivers seat, any one had similar or can suggest how to get rid of stain/mark.

water stain on seat is an easy one just get some upholstrey cleaner and damp cloth and it will come straight out

you have four settings for electric mirrors, 1) fold away 2)passenger mirror 3) drivers mirror 4) adjust both at same time, mine changes passenger mirror when i try and change drivers mirror

I thought there was only 3 settings
1. Fold Away
2. Drivers Mirror (passenger moves as well)
3. Passenger Mirror

and a centre off position

i assume the My03 Lc's onwards dont have the fold away
ive just got left and right on the control knob

Yep, Cuprabob you are correct. The top centre position is the OFF position and NOT both mirrors working at same time!!!

Although I've got a Polo and confusingly the centre position switches on the mirror heating on that car.

not all had folding mirrors they went away for a bit then made another apperance

yeah im quite sure mine doesnt
had a play with it when i got it and saw it in the manual but couldnt seem to find it

have another go tomorrow
