That's the seller's problem, if they want to sell something here, they have to make themselves available with another means of contact.

SCN does not charge for classified ads, we don't even have to offer a service at all. But we do. If people can't be bothered to read the rules we have set, or sellers can't be bothered to reply to potential buyers, then there is nothing we can do about it.

Simple fact is, that if we open ad's up to conversation, they become long winded Q&A threads which more often that not drift off topic.

An example, when you see an advert in a newspaper, or in news-agents shop window. Do you leave an advert in the window asking the advertiser questions about the item? Then come back hoping to find a reply stuck in the same window the next day.

Adverts on the forum are just that, an advert.
