Hi There,

Can anyone help, friend from work has just had his FR back from the dealer (6 weeks) after trying to sort out an ongoing ?dpf? warning light which started occuring after they switched is injectors due to a recall notice when it was being serviced.

Light back on again 4 days later, admittedly after a couple of short journeys.

One thing he has mentioned that seems strange is then when on idle and he floors the accelerator it only reaches 3000 rev then drops, is this normal, a limiter or sorts, or could this point to a possible cause to his long term issue.

Thanks

Neil

thats normal when not moving

As for the DPF issues how old is the car ?

Hi There,

it is an 07 plate.

I beleive they have re-replaced the injectors and the injector seals and sent away the DPF for it to be pressure cleaned as they could only get it down to 35% at the dealers and the light comes on at 40%, his argument was that even if they get the filter to 0% thats just going to delay not fix the issue, as the auto regeneration is obvously not working as it should.

side note: Is the rev thing just on the diesel ?

Thanks

Neil

Yes the rev thing is just cos its a diesel

as for the DPF issue it will be a lot less hassle if he just gets it removed and mapped out
