Don't want to hijack the thread but I hit a pheasant on the dual carriageway last week, knocked one of my parking sensors out (luckily that was connected by a cable) and lost the towing eye cover. My issue is I have a dynamic grey cupra and can't see anyone offering it as a colour option.

What exactly do you mean, you can't buy used pre-painted parts, or you can't buy that colour of paint?

Surely if it is the paint colour, then any SEAT main dealer can order you in a twin spray pack if you give them your reg, a new primed parking sensor and a new primed towing eye cover.

I've bought the part pre primed but I couldn't find the spray colour so thought I might have to go to the dealership which will be expensive considering the size of the part. The sensor survived, it was just hanging loose within the bumper.

Dare I say, I think the pheasant came off worse:headhurt:

Thanks you, that's perfect, I'm going to order now!

Hope it went home for the pot, years ago my dad used to try to hit them if they ran across the road (Ford Prefects were like tanks) and I got sent out to retrieve it and put in in the boot. Pheasant was a regular part of our meals back in the 60's.

Wish I could have stopped and picked it up but it ran across the dual carriageway and hit at about 70mph, kids thought it was great :/

Why didn't take my advice, that link is only for the base colour, by the time you have bought the lacquer you'll be cheaper going to a SEAT main dealer.

If your local dealer has a bodyshop you could try asking one of the guys for a favour?

Favour=job done on the quiet for a few quid.

I was thinking about a smaller independent being more flexible to that approach if I supplied the part(s) and twin spray cans of VW Group official paint - or maybe even Chips away person?

I bought a second new primed mirror cap for my wife's August 2015 6C Polo for £20 from an Audi dealer online, my plan is to either attempt to spray this second cap to replace the poorly sprayed one currently fitted - a failed attempt by me, when the weather gets warmer, or hand the part and paint into somewhere that will do a good job cheaply - but what is cheaply, £30 or £50 , I don't know. Job in progress!
