Front door speakers

This may sound really stupid but...........

I am thinking of changing my front speakers. Now i read the post in the FAQ section showing you how to do it but it says you need 16.5 cm speakers. I have 17cm speakers will these still fit?????

My theory is how much of a difference can 5mm make???

off topic ... but robdf2 do you have the scn sticker in your rear window to the left of the wiper? think i saw u the other week

I bought some pioneer ones a while back and was goi g to put them in my Ibiza but I end up breaking the cover the speaker and found you had to take the door card off so didn't bother !! They are 160 w 2 way pioneer ones so should be better then what's in now

everyone seems to complain about the speakers but the ones in my cupra are fine , decent bass , very good seperation.
Did they upgrade these with a year change?

saying that though i have focal 3 way components waiting to be installed in my car when i get some time.
