Front grille

Im gonna be painting my S Badge on the Front black this weekend and i wanna do the grill surround too

but to save me the hassle of trying to remove the chrome ring around the entire grille, to do that black too, was there any MK4 variant that came with a black grille surround as std??

well I know u can buy a chrome grill kit, and that just puts chrome covers on, mine was originaly black

yeah it's black (cupra greyish colour) underneath. The chrome bit juts clips on.

The middle 'S' badge can be poped out if you break these little clips behind it. I painted the badge surround red on mine.

yeah i had the badge out today and gave it a brushed ally look for now, cos i realised halfway thru i didnt have the paint!

Cheers, get a pic up when your done. I did think of painting my badge black to make the red outline stand out more. Was it easy to take the grille off?

The main 's' grille.... I took my grille off when i changed my bumper, so i was able to unclip it from behind.
I was just wondering if its easy to take the grille out with the bumper attached to the car?

tis a bit fiddly, but yeah its easy enough

you need to put the top in first when putting it back tho

ah ok, I might have a go at the weekend if i get the chance. Need to redo the red bits properly aswell

be careful of the litte clips hoding it in

and also be careful pulling it out!
