Surely the wishbones an subframe are designed to bend to save the chassis from being damaged in the event of a crash? when both are made from mild steel which is relatively soft anyways and both are replaceable parts?
Yes definatly

Wishbones are designed to bend in a heavy impact, they could quite easily make them solid so they didnt bend but this would mean chassis damage instead of just replacing bolt on wishbones.
Would be great for business for us body relignment people but not so good for parts manufactures.
Something I did listen to at college![]()
Perhaps the LC ones are designed to bend, the LCR ones are not.

The LC ones are like the subframe, sort of box section or two pieces of thin steel sheet formed and spot welded together. The LCR one is cast aluminimum alloy which might bend but would probably just snap.wheres the logic?![]()
