front speakers removal help

Have used the help of the door card removal guide and everything went fine till i got to removing the speakers how do you get the weird silver rivit things out?!
Any help appreciated!

They have to be drilled out.

yep drilled out and then tap the remaining part of the rivet out using hammer!

hmm that was an interesting day, spent ages trying to get rivets out, drilling worked a bit but had to pry the front of the rivets off!Then realised need and adapter for the speakers i have got as the standard ones have that plastic bit on them. So was a complete waste of time. At least I know how to take the doorcars off properly now!
Anyone know if i can buy adapters?

yep there is a good set for the mk 4 on ebay i fitted them with maxcars1 to his car very good and fit perfect! just look on ebay at ibiza speakers adaptors!

Get the jigsaw out and make MDF ones, they're a lot better than the plastic crap you buy

Use MDF and abit of no more nail to stick it to the door.

Think it would take longer to order off e-bay then get posted to you, than goto b&q, it all in one store, but upto you, takes what 10 mins to draw 4 circles, than what at max half hour to cut them.

I know thats kinda what i ment, i ment ill see if i can buy them in a shop or if not make some, can't be arsed with ebay i never used it yet anyway!
