Good evening everyone

Need some help, I was hit on a roundabout woman has agreed to pay single mum etc so to be fair I have said i'll pay as she is away for a week and i want it done asap.

Had a quote from a local guy for £625 is it just me or does that seem excessive not sure personally on the cost of VAG parts so was hoping somebody has a similar experience.

Does anybody know how/if i could it done for around £300ish ?

That is a disgraceful quote, tell them where to stick it !!!

To spray i would not expect to pay anymore than £150 got half my car sprayed for £300

part not sure, under £200 i would of though

Oh and go to seremotors on here for a quote on the wing, he is very good for price

been to him for loads of parts

That is helpful so thanks for the reply it seemed a joke the part of euro car parts is £82 so with spraying (it is black magic) i was thinking £100 and the labour £50-100 so £300 ish but over £600 is a joke, problem
Being i'm not diy at cars so i'd still need it spraying and fitting

I just had both front wings replaced three scratches and a monster stone chip done for £400 ripoff defo

Thanks for all your help ! i'm gonna try a few more places if needs be, I shall buy the wing get it sprayed and then have a go at fitting can't be really hard (he says)

Yes. They are sh*t I have on fitted to mine was a nightmare to line up had to make spacers to get it to work, it isnt primed and isnt properly galvanised. Buy genuine.

I've had 2 non genuine panels fitted and painted in past month and both were good fit and alligned perfect cosy me 40 for the wing and 60 quid painted and fitted thanks to ats not tighten the wheels bolts after new tyres this happen last week at 4 am

Wheels went bi bi but the cheap wings do fit nicely !

I'm thinking about just doing it myself can't be that difficult just like a big metal jigsaw lol, plus it's good practice

There's only 8 bolts boltomg the wing on.and then a few in the archliner

Its easy to change I will say the one I bought was from the link and it wasnt as good as I had hoped. I lines up now after I have spaced the bonet up to meet the panel. In the future I will always buy OEM panels for this reason.

You pay your money make your choice.

Tom how did you not hear that before the wheel fell off? Iv had mine loosely torqued by some poor garages before and it always sounds like a driveshaft has gone or something. Im now religious about checking my nuts after having the wheels off.
