Sure, but when you know your average price/kW and /gallon, one can easily calculate the average price/100 km and therefore directly compare to diesel, gasoline or LPG consumption.
In my case price/km (or mile) was not the main rationale to go for a PHEV. I was mainly aiming at making my daily urban commute as green as possible, while still avoiding the range-anxiety I would probably have with a full-electric when going on longer trips.
On the plus side - I can charge at a ridiculous price/kW, which makes my daily average consumption of ~20 kWh/100 km (in EV mode) to be equivalent to less than the price of 3 l/100 km (gasoline). Not too bad I think.

I’d find it difficult to calculate an average cost per kWh as I have two different rates at home (though usually just use the overnight cheaper rate) and get free charging at work, each week being a different mix of rates.

I can't get it above 30mpg, the car does only have 800 miles on the clock, got the VZN. To be fair, I've not ran it on a long motorway journey as of yet. Best I've had is 28mpg, weirdly that was also with a mix of Cupra mode and comfort. I tried putting the individual settings to the most eco friendly possible, but my god acceleration was so bad and I realised I didn't buy this car for eco mode. 2 months of ownership and 4 tanks of petrol.

My short journeys give me an average of 28mpg too. 5 short of the claimed 33mpg combined.

My previous 1.5 Ecoboost averaged 34mpg, but way more dishonest of the claimed 47mpg combined.

Daily cold starts with OPF warming cycle are playing a negative role for sure, but the car is empty, weight should be factored in the estimate.

Only thing I've discovered is an engine module (01) software update available with OBDeleven - which I quized with my dealership - but I feel it's way over their heads like I'm not even supposed to know these things! There needs to be a problem for them to investigate and poor mpg doesn't seem to swing it.

I'd like to know if any VZN's have 0005 or 0004 software on their ECU.

Thats worse than my MG ZT V8 - that does 20mpg on average, though a track day takes it down to about 12mpg!
Betty (5.0 auto Mustang ) does about 18-19 to the gallon
My old Monaro (Christine) would do 30mpg on a cruise but single figures on the Runway.🛫😎👍

I've got the 2.0L 190 and I'm getting between high 30 to low 40 mpg with mixed driving and mid to high 40 on a run. By comparison my 2.0L BMW diesel (which was 300kg lighter) was returning about 46 mpg for the same mixed driving. So it is about 10 mpg higher usage than the BMW was. I was quite surprised it is quite so frugal to be honest. Last petrol car I had was a Mk3 1.3L Escort and it was lucky to see 30mpg.

Funny enough, did a tank of Superunleaded from South Hants to South Wales in a 310 Formentor equating to 30mpg - that's 'Progress' for ya 🤣
