Fuel Level Sensor/Fuel Level Gauge

Hi guys, fuel gauge is showing zero in the car after swapping to a 4bar pump in Ibiza housing.

I've checked the float and its fine, I've even swapped for the original float.

The Fuel level sensor was bent out of shape so I put the original one back on and the fuel gauge still shows zero. So I bent the new senor back into place and put that in but I've still got no fuel.

Heres what the sensor looks like.



Is there anything else I should be checking? Fuses? Or is the sensor tied into the ECU and flagging up a code?

Not sure about it bud but i can check for any faults if you dont have any closer access to vagcom?

Make sure the plastic bit that holds the metal float is completely clipped down so its making proper contact with the board, that was the problem on mine
