Fuel light question

The fuel light came on just digital read out said 25 mile remaining the needle however said 1/8 of a tank is this correct is my needle out of sync or are they just very cautious with the fill tank light

I've had 30 miles + out of my Cupra with the fuel light on

I never trust trip computers they're normally wrong anyway

That's cool it just seems to come on early at an 1/8 of a tank but all is cool
