can you someone help wherer i can find patch for maps ?
on mib website i dont see any patches
Do you mean mib2 maps or Android Auto / Carplay. Former there is a discussion thread and a resource which covers that:

If you tap overview, top left you get the resource. If its a second hand car with a lost SD map card its covered there on what to do. The updates that give the summer release are there.

If it's mib3 inbuilt maps follow the link in the resource.

The original thread was about activation of full link. Tool boxes and all that. If its a mib3 you are stuck on DIY solutions.

Hello, I have seat leon and MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0468T / 5QA035824B /STD2PLUS_EU / 1 Sd slot. I activeted obd sutff, green menu and try to patch with mib-std2-pq-zr-toolbox. The problem is i can't update with patch because update button is greyed out. What should i do for car play(full link)?

you cannot patch that way have to write emmc directly much harder to do. Buy two slot unit or learn is your options.

@leonlad is the lad on the toolbox. Problem with the Mr Fixit YouTube videos (as well as his hair do) is they can lead you up a blind alley. Obviously he gets income of each click and the video watched but doesn't go into the finer detail. Only Briskoda people had practical experience of the mib2 standard toolbox until Leonlad came along. Then you have @East Yorkshire Retrofits the boards solid sponsor. Outside the hobbyists and professionals it can become one big experiment which can kill your unit. There was never any real knowledge in the community here in the standard toolbox untill recently. This is ofcourse equipment that is now six years since it was fitted.

😎 well the experts are those really who reverse engineered everthing and made the tool box i doff my hat to them. However i have played around with these boxes for a while now they are strange things killed a few, unlocked a few single slots pq and zr ones i have learnt even though they have identical partnumbers they behave in different ways depending on how they have been assembled chip versions etc. The weak point on these gloryfied tablets with lvds connections is the soldered emmc constant writes kills them eventually. Should have stuck to seperate drives like the old rns510 a cheap nvme storage unit would have worked much better.

Tesla had the same issue but at least did a recall vw just keep producing cheap junk that fails eventually. Mib2 and 3 failing not sure what mib4 is going to like probably the same.

You'd be better of with a Nexus 7  .

I just say they are like early micro computers. I did solder together Nascom computer once with TTL chips. Programmed with a consumer tape driver or was that my Ohio Scientific.

Just give my George 3 and an ICL1903 to tow behind ... big as a house. VW missed a trick.

The cars are distributed control systems so they realised that 1970s computer science dream.... when they are working. Chip sets, well that's Applied Sciences... they aren't doing their job. VW managers were born out of the 1970s Applied sciences but in Germany. I only tripped over to ours for the minor experiencing applied sciences.

God now you can't walk into the university buildings without an access card 🫣. Thats for a 3d cup of coffee in a plastic cup. I rather like the nuclear power station reactor building in Wales designed by Sir Basil Spence that will have its height reduced as decommissioning, then it will look like a faculty building at Sussex. You'd get pounced on if you visited that site now as someone did 😂. Stick to other buildings 👷‍♂️. There is an exhibit that says the percentage of radioactive materiel recovered... want to know where the escaped stuff is🫣. Probably in the lake. British engineering might have a few foibles.

A true MIB 4 doesn't exist yet and probably never will; the MEB platform uses Android Auto Motiv from software version 6.xx onwards.

MIB 2 is very easy to edit. I successfully write external data sets to the control unit without any data set errors, and I modify hardware, software, and serial numbers and so on
