The TB on a Leon is not linked via a cable to the go pedal. So the ECU CAN cut the power.

You don't say!!

The reason you brake with the you foot still on the gass is not so the revs increase  is so the DV don't kick in and you have to build up boost again!!

Brilliant Einstein... now go and try it in a Leon and see if it works without you going through the windscreen!! :) The only way to keep the turbo on the boil it seems is to match the engine speeds before engaging the gear.

TraumaPat and DPJ are correct, it only does this if the car is in gear and the clutch is not depress (i.e moving)

Try it by driving a long with your foot on the accelerator and lightly press the brake, the ECU cuts off the power until you let go of the brake pedal.
Yes but not the other way round so it is possible to H&T.

You can have your foot on the brake and blip the throttle without the ecu cutting power.

Heal & Toes...

Admittedly, I've not tried H&T my Leon, but I've allways given it a little blip on the throttle comming down the gears, which is what i think your talking about here.

I'll have to go out tomorrow and try the H&T and see what transpires, better keep me SEAT belt tight then just in case Eh ... :drive2:
