So my fuse box burst into flames (literally) and I've just replaced it. The problem is the ECU is still in "limp mode". All the warning lights are off but it's misfiring under acceleration and won't rev above 5k. What do you think? Is it a trip to Seat to get charged for plugging the car into a computer or can I reset it manually?
 
Try disconnecting the battery for half hour to re-set the ecu.


Your syptoms could also indicate plugs or a coilpack gone/on its way out.
