I decided to take the top half of the bottom bracket off. Could replace that with a washer instead

Anyone got any info on where you can get the 10mm M8 ball stud from thats not a stupid price? The ones linked have gone up quite a bit and cost more than both the brackets and the strut!

Hmmm...I got mine from the following link...

But they used to be listed at £3.59 for a pair (plus P&P) which is what I paid - I just checked my eBay receipt. I wonder why they've now shot up to 3 times what the original price was

You can get some from SGS Engineering for a decent price. The killer however is the postage because they only offer next day delivery which costs over £6 so the total for 2 ball studs with postage comes to ~£9.50. Still cheaper than the no-brand eBay ones. Your other option if you can be bothered is to order a few sets from SGS and then flog the remaining sets on eBay at a cheaper price than the other seller. If you price them right you should then be able to make back the money you paid on SGS postage costs.

Yeah I mean't the plates. I was given the details from Sam (username Jarre) on here for a guy he used that makes the plates. He will make them and send them all for £5. I can send you his email address if you want to contact him for some?

Hi there,

I know it been a while but to you still have this guys email address for the brackets?

That would be useful, i emailed and the guy mailed me back after a while, I replied but not heard anything back. He did say he had been busy though so maybe it's that :)

Have everything to do this, gave it a go and the strut just doesn't want to move at all, any ideas?

I purchased http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=290946506377

linked from another post in this thread. Will try and get a picture uploaded but apart from the car in the picture quoted is black and not white the set up looks identical.
