turbo time

Took my spare turbo in with me today.

took it all apart and the only thing i could see wrong with it was a slightly bent compressor fin. has the same play as the new k03s in the car just now even although this one has done 100k miles!

no cracks in the housing either. so this is the turbo i will send away to be re-built.

WHAT COMPANY DO PEOPLE RECOMEND?

too many to choose from. cr turbos might be the best option.

orderd some parts from sere motors. david is a legend and brilliant costomer service.

thanks again

true... true...

any luck on finding 20mm rods?

Havent tried yet mate, It will be a while untill I will need them as the standard rods will do me for k04..
Have you tried IE to see if they have the rifled rods in stock? They are a little more expensive but supposedly better

I have rebuilt heads before but again like you not on a 20v.. looking at other peoples threads cant see it being much different just 4 more inlet valves! Someone correct me if I am wrong??
Im sure a search will get you bundles of useful info mate.
