Gear knob refurb?

Afternoon all,
Just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to how I can refurbish my Leon fr gear knob?
The FR logo is unmarked but the gun metal grey around it is non existent it is more like an ivory white now
I was thinking of getting hold of an airbrush kit and trying that. Don't want to be forking out for a new one when this is immaculate apart from the colour fade.

Would a wrap work the amount of contact it has? how long does it last?
Plus wanted to keep it as original as possible.

I do have a small piece of carbon wrap in the cupboard. I might give it a go and see what it looks like (can always peel it off)

Dont really wanna be spending £50+ when all that's wrong with mine is a bit of paint that wants touching up.
I think I'm going to have a look at airbrushing it to the original colour then put some clear coat over to keep it protected.

Yeah I think a mint replacement is the only option, or re-colour the leather as its the black that's fading into red on mine

Mine went the same way. Just kept an eye on eBay for dealers selling old stock. Got an aluminium seat sport one for £25. Nicer changing gears

Mine isnt too bad but the cupra badge coating has a few lines across it or the coating or something, and its doing my head in lol.

Not a brill picture but you can see how the gear knob is white instead of gun metal.

Its almost as if the previous owner removed the grey. Its very clean white. The thing that baffles me is the logo and the gearing is untouched.

well if you didnt like it i am sure someone with a white FR would be more than willing to swap with you lol
