Gearbox oil confusion... ??

Hi all.

6 speed gearbox on a LCR 1.8T20V.

Basically i am very confused..

does this gearbox use hypoid gears?

what spec does it require gl4 or gl5?

fully synthetic or semi syn?

75w90 i think is correct.

What gearbox oil is recommended and what have you used?

VW G51 - 75W/90 Fully synthetic, I believe.
ChrisGTL will be along soon to say if it should be GL4 or GL5. (I think GL4....)

Leon 1.8VT Cupra R 2000-2005. (225HP) (BAM) KO4

Engine: 504.00.
Gearbox: VW G51 - 75W.

as listed on my autodata just 75w without the not 90 so not multigrade which is weird because for some of the same boxes list 75w90 . this is why im confused. does it use hypoid gears?

i will use a 75w90 fully syn. will try the dealers tomorow.
