Gearbox Oil Pump being replaced today

Thank god it's still under warranty.

Gearbox fault code flashed up - took it in, apparently the oil pump for the gearbox has failed, massive job and has been in the garage for a week now!

Anyone else had issue like this? I thought these DSG boxes were pretty bulletproof

The latest DSG gearboxes have a generally good reputation, otherwise the Internet would be flooded with tales of woe.
I think you've just been unlucky there.

They've sent it back to the manufacturer for a post mortem. Said if it's a design error it could mean a recall for my batch of vehicles, this part never breaks apparently!
