gearbox oil??

is 75-90w part synthetic ok to use or does it need to be fully synthetic???
any help much appreciated

Not sure what the right viscosity is but i would stick to OEM gearbox oil from SEAT. They will get you the right one from your reg or chassis number.

I had problems with my gearchange when i had MT90 oil in whcih went away when i changed back to the SEAT stuff.

Difficult to tell. Some Seat gearboxes are filled at the factory with fully synthetic and some with mineral oil. Seat warns not to mix the two.

What gearbox code do you have?

Stick with the proper stuff from the dealer mate, iirc the syncros in the 6-speeder aren't too keen with oils like the Redline MT-90. I tried the mt-90 for about 6 months before switching back to OEM stuff. ;)

anyone know what the equivelent to the dealers g/box oil is? no dealers anywhere near me but am in the trade so can get my hands on pretty much most oils
