Gearbox question

Hi there, i am looking to replace my whining gearbox, my cupra is a 2000 model and i can get hold of a 2002 cupra gearbox. Will this fit?

Also looking to replace the rear beam, would a 2002 model fit a 2000?

If it's a mk3 2002 they should do yes. It could be a mk4 because that's whent he mk4 started in 2002.

should the gearbox odes be the same or should i check with seat first?

Im pretty sure any 02j box will fit but you'll need to use the original mounts.

Any mk3 cupra box will fit no matter what code tho.
