think it was around 1500 with the vat. the above prices are exc vat, so theres not a huge difference. i bought direct from td

Does this price include VAT and remap? i'd also be needing a new clutch setup, possibly sachs kit with SMF? or can DMF take the power and torque without any issues? im in the process of getting bits together for FMIC. No other modifications needed? So what price could you do on the clutch fitted and not fitted as well as turbo and remap, maybe a bundle deal if everything done through you? thanks

Hi There

No, that is the price for the new stage 2 turbo.

Please e-mail me at [email protected] and I will put together a Winter package deal for you:)

Sachs clutch isnt recommended for a hybrid setup. Neither is a DMF. The Dual mass flywheel really won't cope with that amount of torque, it's soon fook it and then you'll get a horrid judder bottom end which is where diesel's have most power!

I'd recommend a helix (or higher rating clutch) with a SMF. The single mass flywheel will mean the car will accelerate quicker than with a DMF as there's less weight to a SMF.

I personally have a Helix setup and SMF, and I've managed to get very slight slip on this clutch! And it's rated to 450ft/lb I believe.

FMIC, the Allards FMIC or Seat Sport is the only setup to go for really. The Forge setup isn't ideal for hybrid, but it's ok for remap power.

im using a new sachs dmf and a sachs race kit (been in the car 6 months or so), they are rated over 400lbft. my car runs at least 385 without problems. thanks will @ p -torque

I've got a Sach performance clutch kit too running 240bhp & 360lbft on a stage 2 TD hybrid, no problems what so ever. The clutch is rated to about 405lbft so shouldn't have any worries at my current power levels, there are plenty of people over on uk-mkivs.net running the Sachs clutch with similar power levels to me and no one has yet reported any issues.

How long have you been running it for?

6 months or 8k miles.

was running a sachs race kit before that, with a standard dmf. had to replace as my gearbox failed, so i changed the lot.

the previous sachs race clutch was fine for two years, near 20k miles. the car then was running 220 and 345lbft., not a sign of dmf damage, infact when it was removed it look fine. not bad as the car at the time was on 92,000 miles.

I can confirm the above.

I am on mine for 10 months with 6k. Also even with a genuine big turbo you should not really exceed 380lb/ft anyway. The aim should be to have 380lb/ft from start to finish not just a peak figure at the beginning.
