Getting Sellotape stickiness off windows?

i've tried elbow grease, and all sorts on this

basically when i bought the car (i know its been like 6months lol) the guy had a for sale sign in the back windscreen (used some red tape) then when i bought it, he ripped it off quickly and it still has the lines in the back, it won't budge

anyone know of anything cheap/found round the house to remove this please?

white spirit should do it

vodka or any alcohol rubbed in with a clean cloth or paper towel will do the trick.

or use any purfume or aftershave on a cloth.

or

wd40 sprayed onto a cloth not the window!!!

any of these will work guarenteed!!!!

you know what, i have tried everything except them things lol
feel so stupid (i was gonna try some white spirit but we ran out as we just painted)

car is gleaming so much, and then there is this nasty crap on the inside of the window!

thanks mate, just whipped outside with my old aftershave and a clothe and bye bye to the tape thanks alot mate, it just came off, shocking, i nearly broke my elbow with a clothe/water and nothing lol

car looks amazing now, AG Super Resin + AG Extra Gloss = shiney shiney
