Ask forge for a service kit which includes the uprated piston or if your old OEM valve is in good nick try that. Forge recommend their yellow spring once mapped.

Smoke testing is hugely worth while due to the cars age and the huge amounts of vac piping they run. Small leaks can cause alsorts of issues so best to know the systems air tight so its ruled out.

Yep they have a rolling road. I dont think they mapped it to stage 2. They spent about an hour with it and did 5 power runs though. To be honest I wasnt paying much attention.

You don't think? You paid for it

LOL, umm, well the receipt says "custom map" and it cost me £225. I never actually said stage 2 to them, but they were keen to know what mods I had.

I probably should have paid a bit more attention, but I dont think it is stage 2.

Torque sounds a little low but if custom suppose it could be right. Think volks do it but unsure on price....give matt a ring monday morning.

Will certainly pop in when I get a chance as I work about 100 yards from them! Is there any way I can check boost pressure or whether there is a leak with vcds?

I have the full version that I bought to diagnose a fault on my partners vw car as the main dealers were useless.

I think you can log the pressure the ECU is asking for and the actual pressure. Mine is running around the 18-20 PSI mark i think on WOT
