Recently changed all 4 boots from Bridgestones to F1's on my Cupra. Initial impression is less road noise with better all-round grip. I paid £364 for mine, so your quote ain't bad. Worth doing.
I just put my 2nd pair on last week so I now have a full set. Too early to say about wear but the grip seems better than the Bridgstones both in the rain and the bit of dry weather we have had this week.
The ones on the rear don't seem to have worn very much in 8000 miles though.
Huge amounts of info on here and very highly recommended, that's why I got mine.
I know exactly not a leon, but ive got them on the front of mine at the moment. Much quieter than the p-zero's i had, although not as grippy than I thought they would be. Still miles better than the p-zeros though. Need to put them on the back so i can wear out the p-zero's i currently have on the front though (if i ever get round to it).
Mine isn't a TDi, just the standard Leon Cupra, but my experience of the Goodyears was that they were wonderfully grippy, but wore out in no time.
My original fronts (Dunlop) lasted for 15k, the Goodyears only did 8k. I went back to Dunlops for my next set (mainly because I didn't want to fork out any more at the time and thought I might as well use my brand new spare), and they have done 10k+ with loads of life left in them.
I'm in two minds what to buy for my next pair - the Goodyears have the edge for grip and noise, but to my mind top-of-the-range tyres should do better than half the life of the cheap ones.
I can't help feeling there must be a tyre in between the two that gives a better balance between performance and cost. Any ideas?
gsd3's here lasted over 14k for me - replaced them with gsd3's again as i think they are the best out there for the money.... I paid £180 for all 4 for me (but they were secondhand with only about 1kmiles and pretty much full tread left
If you go to the big Asda in Southampton area, the one that has the tyre place attached to the side of it... (cant remember the name tho) They did the GSD3's for the 17" cupra wheels for £93 fitted and balanced last time i went there. Was impressed as its quite cheap considering the other prices i got
