LEON 20VT FR
Hello everyone ...

as some of you know i've had an accident in my Leon FR a month ago, insurance payed out and I got myself a car at last ...

its a 2002 VW Golf GTi Edición Especial, imported from Spain by a Saudi diplomat working there...

The car is in excellent condition I have yet to see a car that has done 90k (km) in such condition ... paid 26,000 riyals for it (£3,300)

The car is a 1.8T (AUM so K03s), BBS Wheels, Recaro seats, airbags everywhere, factory HID's, 6-CD changer and Gamma HU, 5-speed manual

the car feels like its in a different class to the Leon, and although I was a bit disappointed when I first saw the 5-speed gearknow, I must say it goes suit the engine a lot better.. gearing is a bit longer and you feel the torque more ...

Anyway here are some pics (already installed Forge CAI, Parrot BT and Fabia rear wiper):

I suppose I worry about getting water into anything electrical.. plus its an engine bay, its bound to get dirty sooner or later. All I do is blow everywhere with compressed air whenever I change oil or am at the mechanic. Remember its very very dusty here so 2 days after any cleaning everything is covered again ...

Nice car... what made you decide to go for a Golf instead of another Leon then? Good car either way :)

I only bought my leon in the first place as a cheaper alternative to a Golf ... I've always loved Golf's and now I have one again I remember why. The build quality, materials, layout, everything is way ahead of the Leon. The Leon is a GREAT car, but the Golf still makes the Leon look cheap in comparison

Fair play then :)

A friend of mine had a Golf for a few years and it was a great car. Very comfortable place to be and great for covering miles. The build quality is better, but I wouldn't say it was that much greater than Seats as it still had it's fair share of creaks and the materials felt the same. But I know where you're coming from :)

I like golfs, nice cars. Personally I preferred your leon, looked a little bit more “special” if you know what I mean. :D
