So I finally have my new BW KO4
Installed.
I’ve been driving sparingly keeping it all under 3000rpm as the map that was on there was extreme and the car needed to go back to Bill and crew to be mapped properly now that boosting issues were sorted.
I drive down there on Thursday to have a stage 1 Custom session.
So the car pulled well on the rollers first few runs but it was soon evident the fuel pump was not up to scratch any longer.
10 mins later and a new fuel pump installed the car feeling better and pulling good figures but now the injectors couldn’t keep up.
A set of Bosch 550’s sorted fueling issues out and Bill ran some more runs and logs and after much tinkering the car topping out at an impressive 269bhp and 256lbs of torque.
The car’s a little beast.
The power delivery is fantastic.
Progressive but fast building to 3000 revs then pretty much full boost to 6000 odd. It flys.
No spiky power. Just aggressive yet smooth delivery.
6th is now like 4th no need to drop a gear on the motorways.
Aparently the very beginning of my downpipe is stock factory which then connects to my custom pipe work.
This is causing bad flow and is building too much back pressure.
I was lucky as Alex ( one of the crew) used to own an LCR. He happened to have a custom 3” downpipe taken from his LCR which he kindly sold me for a decent price.
Once that’s on the car I think it should just improve everything that much more.
All in all a great experience. The guys were great. Very friendly garage. While being very professional.
Fast and efficient work and Bills magic is worth every penny.
