Grind sound on full lock

Hi all,

My Ibiza has developed what sounds like a grind all of a sudden on full lock, whether it's in 1st gear or reverse.

I've had a look round, can't see any visible marks from any grinding.

The car isn't lowered, and is on standard size 205/45/16 tyres.

Anyone else experienced this?

ive been looking for a while on mine. only does it very occasionally, could it be the from around the arb?

Thanks for the suggestions lads.

I've since found out that it's not suspension related, more steering related. When I turn to full lock (when stationary or moving slowly) and hold it there, after 5 secs or so the grind noise comes and continues until I straighten the wheels a little.

I've checked my power steering fluid and topped it up a little, car seems the same as it was before.

I also remembered it has only done this since I adjusted the steering weight with VCDS. Perhaps I should change it back and see if the problem goes?

i have this problem on my 1.4 when i have it on full lock reversing or goin forward, i can feel it drag alittle aswell but i cant see any sign of rubbing, but my car is slammed but normal wheels n tyres but no marks in the arch or on the suspension ?

ours did it because the tracking had been done badly. got the tracking reset & that cured it

I found the problem was the steering weight adjustment I had mate with VCDS. I adjusted it slightly and the noise has gone.
