Grrrr my clutch cable snapped.

Just had a ring from my local seat garage and it isnt good news. Apparently I need a new clutch plate and pedal. They said its going to cost about £426 thats labour and parts. Does that sound resonable??

What did they fix the first time and how much did that cost?

I dont know about the plate? Is that the bit that needs double welding to make it stronger?

When i had my first cupra the Pedal Box went, it was fixed under Warranty but was told it would have been about £500 so it could be the same as that? With this cupra i had a new clutch pedal with double welding done at SEAT for £176 so sounds like it could be the Pedal Box but i may be wrong?
