Anyone got one of these? From the pics they look like they would be easy to fit.

hahahahhaha

been there done that (myself and addo were one of the first) Your about 3 years too late to see the threads, a few had them, nearly all people changed them! most bought ours :p

due to its twin pass design alot of pressure loss

still think there are gains from twin pass and short pipework run than

long pipework run and single pass

its not the design whats the problem just think the core showed it lost pressure

wait and see the new forge design fmic jbs are producing

it was myself and Adam who modified the GRS, We converted it to a single pass unit before binning the core and designing our own, got lots of pics too, done this when we discoverd the K03s

not saying you didnt redesign it, but the twin pass system is not the failure, its more the core design,

look in most the vag range oct, mk4 golf platform and the likes of forge , pro alloy ect all use twin pass systems to keep the pipework design less fussy and reduce track length

The design looks very good IMO so if they can get over the pressure loss I think it would be a winner.

Taking away performance and just concentrating on looks and fitment I think that style is much niceer than a large forge style one which is mostly blocked by the bumper anyway.

There's no denying that the forge ones are great performers but I'm just not a fan of how they look and I would much prefer a smaller one like this that sits behind the grilles

prob is mike your not freely selling them, so there is no supply, so no point promoting them to people when they can not buy them

i was sick of asking if you where willing to sell one of your larger front mounts and with no joy had to find my own alternative

people can only get whats available!!!

progress shot of mine:

hopefully forge and jbs will collaberate and produce more of these

not promoting them, just educating people. Plus we would need a batch to make it worth while and affordable for people. One customer is not enough unfortunatly

realistically at £1000 quid a go you where not going to get more than one person at a time to buy one,

the smaller cooler would be a big seller on here for the likes of ko3s and ko4 turbo upgrades, its a gap in the cupra market you could easy fill if willing to put the money out for a batch to be made,

people dont want to have to wait for 9 other people to have the money to be able to get one, thats why the forge smaller cooler is selling well

That looks exactly like an Evo cooler to me

lol, i can gurantee you its not an evo cooler, although when designing something, you gotta get ideas from somewhere thats well proven :p ;)

Fair enough it isnt an actual evo cooler but the inlet/outlet is angled in exactly the same way the evo one is.

People may as well just buy an Evo cooler

we were doing in batches of 5 but it worked out more of a development than a profit making tool.

Its amazing what little tweaks have acheived. as you can see by the pictures of the fmics different dwell times with different cores end tank design mandrel bent piping opposed to cheap straight cuts, bore of piping, thickness of piping routes and positioning is just a small amount of r & d needed.

Like Mike saying this isn't a thread to advertise just to educate.

been there done that and dont wont poeple to make mistake at there own costs, thats whats good about these forums.

Good luck.
