GT1749V V's GT1749VA on 115HP AUY engined TDI

I'm looking for a replacement turbo for my 2000 Alhambra 115bhp PD TDI which has the AUY engine.

I'm after a used replacement and see loads of VAG ones on e-bay but all the part numbers seem to vary slightly. On some the turbo pipework comes out sideways and others it comes out of the bottom.

Does anyone has a picture of the turbo which is on the 115bhp alhambra? Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Garrett GT1749V and the GT1749VA?

Ive put the gt1749va on my 110 which came with a gt1749v as standard, basically a pd130 turbo on a 110 asv engine

Was it a direct fit?

Yes, it is a direct fit, but on mine, you need the red turbo outlet silicone boost pipe, not sure if you use your existing boost pipe or you need a different one. Turbo is a direct fit tho matey

I took a chance one one that I saw on e-bay with a few minutes left. Almost new off a seat and was just described as 'seat deisel turbo', for £50 I bid blind and won it.

I bought it and the guy dropped it off but its a KKK that looks identical to the Garrett VA. I'll post a part number tomorow to see if its compatible.

Is the alhambra turbo 3 or 4 bolts to the exhaust?
