been on hol and just got back. as jon has said i gotta look into standalone more but im attracted by quite alot of features and certain areas of practicalitly!
as mork has said i may need to run both, which is one thing i want to investigate. for now im just going to build the engine and take it from there.

Excellent stuff, ive got a big build on for my mate, its Bills old golf. He's bought 2 LTR crank etc etc and all the goodies with equal length mani and ihi/garrett blower. I may not own a 1.8T any more, but i will leave my mark on a few yet. 
i was soo close to going 2l but didnt as i didnt want to change my turbo. so i ordered 1.9l pistons and then bought a bigger blower. sods law

saturday was productive but not for the engine i had to put a kitchin in for my mum and ive gotta tile it next weekend so another day where no work will be done on the engine
but today was good and i have more goodies
ive got the valves all lapped in, even tho the pic only shows it half done lol

i dropped off the head 2nite for skimming. i also saw my block while i was there. its all been bored and cleaned. proper excited now.
im building the bottom end on saturday and hopefully finish the head sunday
