H7 dipped bulbs

Saw on ebay (yep, the prev lot i bought from them just popped, but they were £2...)

that there are 55w and 100w types

does anyone know which is generally recommended ?

100w bulbs are illegal (off road use only), and produce much more heat than 55w bulbs, so they may discolour your lenses over time.

If you want good light output, go for a well known brand like osram or phillips (in 55w).

HID's if you can get a decent pattern

lower wattage
lower heat
lower power
and 50%+ brighter than any 100w bulb
