Weitec coilies. Also got whiteline rarb and front and rear strut braces but then it's also got a peloquin differential too haha handles class.
Tyres also make a good difference, find my car most confidence inspiring on falken 452's. My favourite tyre so far and I've been through lots of them due to lots of wheel changes between the two mk4 ibizas I've had and the pretty high mileage I do.

So the weitec's soak up the bumps? I think I'd just be happy with mine if I wasn't flung out the seat when the wheels sniff a ripple.
If you want handling on B roads buy a Mini Cooper S with the Sports or Works pack fitted. However even the basic Cooper can shake your fillings out. 
So annoying isn't it, and I'm running standard suspension on a poxy 1.2
I reckon the best thing to do if you want something really good on the backroads would be to buy something else. Not very helpful I'm sure but it's my honest opinion!

I would say the handling is ok, nothing great. Its safe, but not that fun. What it awful is the ride quality, it beggars belief that a modern car has such a shite suspension set up - extremely crashy, even the tiniest bumps thud straight into the cabin.
My pd130 sport is a joke, it's got strong grip but smashes you round the cabin. My favourite car to drive that I have owned is my previous lupo 16v sport. Not over firm at all but the biggest laugh ever on b roads. You could throw it at any corner at any speed. But any sort of rain and aquaplaning is a sure fire bet
Yeh they are comfortable really, did 85 miles in it today no bother, after 2 weeks of my mk3 tdi jelly suspension haha

i dont have much experience but i used to own a 206 gti and i completely disagree. i live on mainly b roads and i managed to roll my 206 on a corner at 65 which i take at 80 i n my ibiza and it just grips so much better. i have completely standard suspension set up atm and i love the country roads.
Jenk, have you got a diesel or a petrol?
Thats one thing i noticed when i sold my diesel and got the petrol cupra, it was allot better as standard, compared to the fr as standard. Allot more nimble and felt more balanced. The fr always felt abit crashy up front over bumps and undulations, the petrol not so. In reality im sure the 20vt and pd engines are similar weight so wouldnt have thought it was the engine but god knows!

Diesel cupras are about 20kg lighter than the petrol equivalent.
It might be how the engines are mounted, making the chassis stiffer or weaker though
