As per above, wondered if anyone has any pictures of it done, a cone filter fitting inside an oem airbox, albeit opened up to resemble a heat shield. Cheers[B)]

I have the bottom half of the standard box fitted with a Green Cone filter sitting in it... Don't know if it makes much difference TBH but I thought it would maybe help catch more of the cold air coming from the cold air feed?

Have you any pics of this? Is the MAF secured to the airbox?

I don't have a pic. Will take one tomorrow for you though.

Mine basically rests on the edge of the bottom part of the airbox and I made a bracket to secure the end of the cone to the wing, so there is no movement.

cheers for the pic mate, maybe ill go for a straight flter to utilise the air around the filter as opposed to your 45 degree one. As for securing it to the wing, did u drill a hole and put a self tapper in there with the bracket or is it an existing hole?

I do like that set up. How much did that filter cost? Is the angle an adapter or part of the filter? Couldn't you cut the top of the airbox to make it fit on?

The Green filter came with the elbow and was around £40. If you were wanting to attach the top cover you would be better off just buying a panel filter.

I have a Jetex cone and heat shield fitted now. Looks better and performs slightly better as well. Pics in the link below in my sig.
