I have been using Millers oils since 10,000 miles. Its a service they offer. As they know the composition of the oil you have used (ie theres) they can tell what extra bit there is in the oil therefore wear.
try searching for 'oil analysis' on here and you'll see the thread.
It's a service that probably most oil manufacturers offer

LOL, 37k High Milleage.
Best comment i've seen all day!
Mine is on 125k!
Bullet proof and still as quick as my mates fresh 17k 55 plate!

Look after your engine and it won't let you down!

hi nutter engineer

in responce to your question:

"I'm wondering what are the performance of your LCR when it gets higher (60K, 80K, etc). would be good to know if someone has a rolling road figure for a standard spec well maintained high mileage LCR"

My LCR now has 65k on the clock, with FULL SEAT history, im theeh 2nd owner and I went to the PTorque RR day back in feb, and i got 224bhp and 219lbs torque!!! My LCR is standardish (no remap) apart from forge 007, smoothed airbox, and green panel filter. I did thee N249 after.

So i suppose it goes to show, just like the other replies on here that a WELL MAINTAINED LCR should be pullin in the power for a long time yet, 60k 70k + + + + ....

Hope this has answered ya question buddy

vin

I cant see much power loss really, its not a highly strung engine and is built to last. Dont foret if a car has high mileage chances are its been sat on a motorway in 6th most of the time so very little stress on the engine.

Thanks for the responses so far.

It has certainly helped put my mind to rest at buying a higher mileage one. I know 37K is not high mileage, but i do intend to keep the car for many years so I do want one that will last. Thanks for the power figures Vin-R, its good to know these engines are still strong after that number of miles.

oh yes mate!!!

these are strong engines, and if looked after, will look after you too ;) I was well happy with my power figures, so was Will at P-torque on the RR day. Me and R-Power (from here too) were both there with standard cars .. and his has got 30K + miles now and his figures were ever so slightly higher than mine. so suppose that shows really, that no matter what mileage the cars still got POWER!!

My LCR has just under 78k on the clock, serviced every 10k and back in january had it on the rolling road and it made 232bhp and 207lbs and its standard other than a piperX panel filter so mileage definatly hasnt affected mine one bit.

We get 1.8T's in at p-torque with 100,000+ miles on the clock, and mapped smoothly they never have issues if looked after.

We have a Golf MK2 track car that we have carried out a 1.8T conversion on with strong remap, and after 1000 track miles, we are yet to have an issue..... the engine came from a written off Golf MK4 that had been rolled with 95,000 miles on the clock [B)]

well there u go lads.. shows that no matter what mileage, a WELL looked after engine will pull in the power!!
