Westmidlands.
Im having my LCR alloys refurbed on Thursday at lap tab and don't know what finish to go for, does anyone have any pics of different finishes on there black LCR.
At the moment they are booked in to have smoked chrome.

I think slightly darker would look good but not to dark that it makes the alloys look small ie antracite or black. I like the idea of having a really light grey with lots of bigger metallic flexs that sparkle

The colour of my alloys now is a dark finish which i like at the moment it lookslike they will be getting done in smoked chrome, just wondered if people had got any pics with different finishes.

i've got pics on there now with silver standard alloys, look very good on the black, however each to their own. it titled a few pics before i change my alloys or something, i cant remember exactly.

If by smoked chrome you mean a dark finish, but with a glossy, shiny finish, then I think you've made the right decision

The darker colour will look great next to the black car - so long as it's not too dark - but the shiny finish will give it a bit of sparkle that will help lift the appearance somewhat.

Smoked Chrome could look very good. I'm guessing it is similar/same to Shadow Chrome?

Im thinking of getting a new set of wheels in Matt Gunmetal, but not sure if that will be too dark

how do they do it? do you need to riding around on a replacement set of wheels for a week or do they do it all in a day?

adam

It varies from place to place, but most decent places will want the wheels for at least a few days so they can do a proper job. Anybody that says they can strip, prepare, paint and bake a set of wheels in a day would worry me. Preparation is everything for this sort of job and that alone can take a day.

I got mine done a couple of months ago with a black chrome finish (on a platinum LCR), took about 8 hours to do, strip and refit etc came to just below £75 a wheel.

Im dropping the car off to them first thing Thursday morning and will get it back around 5.30,costing £75 a wheel.
And they dont supply a set to you while you wait.
This company has a lot of good rep that is why im using them.

i bin seriously thinkin about gettin mine done in smoked chrome on my black LCR from labtec so will be very interested in seeing the results.. i hope you will posting some pics when there done!..

pm a guy called J@mes, he had his done in a really silver type finish with a flake effect in them, they look really nice :)
