My indicator relay has started ticking frantically and intimitently.

It works normally when the indicators are on, but when they are off it ticks like mad. Does switch any lights, just fires the relay.

Has anyone else had this? How the hell do i fix it? It's driving me insane!!!! :censored:

sorted.

Ok, so it's taken nearly 2 weeks, but the problem was the indicator stalk. All tests pointed towards the hazzard switch/relay but when changed it still clicked like crazy. However with a shiney new stalk all is well again. :)

Just like to say thanks to all at The Phirm, particularly Tim who spent a lot of time on this and answered all my (probably daft) questions. Can't recommend these guys highly enough.

I've got exactly the same issue too. I've already had a new relay fitted. Is a new stalk an easy fix?

Just a tip for anyone who has this problem. I sprayed WD40 into the innards of the stalk (using the red straw) then 'worked' it (not madly) up and down and backwards and forwards to get the WD40 into the switch.

270 miles and 5 hours later it hasn't recurred (and it has always occurred previously on a long drive)

Anyone know how difficult the stalk is to change, do you have to take the steering wheel off?
