Headlight warning sound

Hi guys

My LCR does not make a sound when the headlights have been left on and the car is off. I'm sure you all know what I mean? When you take the key out and open the door..

Do lcr's do this and mine is just knackered or do they not do it at all?

Mine beeps when you take key out and open the door with lights still on. Check fuses IMO

Mine does the same . Been like that since it was off the road for 2 years. Still can't find the problem

Do the interior lights come on as they should when you open the driver's door? If not, then that's probably why.

No mine don't. When I unlock the car the interior light comes on . Any other time ( opening the doors etc) they don't .

That's your reason then, as your car doesn't know the driver's door is open.

What could be the problem there then ? Can't be a fuse otherwise it wouldn't work at all .

Most the time its the door lock. The solder breaks up on the circuit inside it and stops the door lock position signal from being sent. Either a new lock is needed or check out the repair guide that's on here.

Haha, tbh its easier and probably cheaper to get a new lock. You can get a new one of eBay for ~£30.

Maybe the best way . Not the best when it comes to fixing chips etc.....

My lights and everything else work as normal. Will take a look at the guide later. Hope I can fix it easily enough!
