right i need to know, how people get around the problem of the headunit, i know this as been posted befroe but would like to see pictures and peoples comments on how they have got around the problems, this is because i can have a in dash dvd for dirt cheap so would like to knw asap, thanks

could build you a fibreglass pod for the center console if you pick up a spare one or anything else you suggest really!

i have seen them cut out of the console so that it sits in lovely so jst wanted to c how peoople done it

If you PM 'Hooch' he is the man who is able to mod the current headunit to allow the fitting of an aftermarket unit. He will charge you £100 (i think) for the privalege.

easy peasy lol . all ya got to do is take the front of the head unit , then find some cat 6 data cable , and get from alpine the two parts that join the head unit to the face , then sit with a solder iron and magnifiying glass and solder the connections and match them both sides . with out makin the solder touch between the tracks , takes a good hour to solder , but the joys of workin in a stereo shop , so did it in me lunch break , and then re trimed the head lining , in black alcantara

my mate did his the same but fitted the fascia in the sun visor, looks very trick. i'm curently in the same boat i've got diamond sub rainbow components also amps and wiring just need a headunit then the job of fitting it to make it look oe

i got all that already in the car , had a fiber glass install in the boot and on the doors, wont post pics as most of ya already seen it lol
