Heated Wing Mirrors - Auto time off

Hi all

On my XL Stylance the knob on the centre console is rotated to turn the heated mirrors on. Does anybody know if they time out after a certain time. (go off)

My other VAG car (Caravelle) has the mirrors linked to the rear screen so they are not kept permanently on. Just wondering !

The Altea should be the same as your other VAG car - heated mirrors turn on when knob is in centre postion when you turn heated rear window on. The rear window will time out after a period of time which turns mirrors and rear screen off... Not sure what this is though.

the mirrors are linked to the heated rear window when you turn the rear screen on as long as the mirrior switch is in the center position the heated mirriors will come on , and the time can be adjusted by your dealer.

Well on my previous Ibiza the heated mirrors were permanantly on with the dial in the heated position. Never had a problem in the 2.5 years of ownership but I do miss them on the Altea.
