heated wing mirrors

the heating function on both the mirrors dont work, they fold and move ok but no heat, i have tested the switch and wiring and there is voltage , has anyone got a solution other than buy new glass... how much!!!!

Does your rear windscreen work? My driver side not working but my passanger is. Most likley you need a new glass as it may need repalcing. the heated mirror is part of the glass. Need to get mines done but keep putting it of. lol

yes rear windows fine...well apart from the one line that doesent seem to do anything, if i have to get new glass i might get the golf one's with the blue tint.

Yeh if you have the non tear drop miror it should fit. Have checked vag for any faults.

Do all LC/LCR's come with heated mirrors? Not sure if I have it as havent had to use it yet.

Think they standard on all leons espicaly the turbo models. On the rear heater and wait for abit, should be able to feel the heat from the mirror

New glass I am afraid.

I had this problem and I replaced one (broken glass) and one non working one. Its about £35 a side!

Buy the blue Golf ones if youre replacing them, better for night driving, and they look good too.

make sure they heated, should see some connectors on the back.
That reminds me of a story, when i had my golf, some one robbed my glass in the mirror.i then done some thing realy bad which i shouldnt have
