Heater Controls

I have searched and searched to no avail!!

Can anyone please tell me how to "synchronise" the heater temperature on both sides of the car.

I seem to recollect that you press two of the buttons simultaneosly but can't remember which two

Whilst we are talking about the heaters, can someone explain why when I put my Altea in reverse the blowers increase outfut by a few notches ?

This has been discussed in the past and the only reason people can think of is that when the car is reversing you won't get as much air drawn into the car hence it tries to compensate for the loss of flow. My previous car (Ibiza) did this quite noticabily but the Altea hass a little more subtle increase for some reason.

It wipes the rear windscreen as well if the front wipers are on .

I have a new Toledo, so presume the same applies to the Altea:

The heater output increases when you go into reverse because the car decides to engage 'Recirc' blower mode automatically to prevent exhaust fumes being drawn into the cabin by the ventilation system. That's according to the SEAT handbook.

Ingenious overengineering, isn't it?

Just think you could have been killed by exhaust fumes by reversing older cars over the years !
