Just done a quick search, cant really find anything pertaining to this actual thing , so..
last night , sat in the Mk4 waiting for the missus (have to occasionally as I cant ALWAYS drive the Mk2 everywhere ) and I had the heater set , only low but on, to heat the windscreen ,as I popped it into reverse, the heater blew a LOT stronger.....anyone know the reason this may be?

TIA
:D

hmm thats an intresting one, never relised that before when I go 2 college later Im gona give it ago :D

My head lights are brighter when in reverse which is odd since now in reverse it has to pwer the reverse lights aswell...and yeah it does blow stronger also.

same thing happens to mine, not noticed any difference in the head lights but the heater does blow stronger when reversing!

Iv noticed the heater thing when I looked for it today, anyway the lights for me I never have noticed, notice they dip when u put full lock on. but thats about it

All its doing is actuating the re-circulation flap so that you dont breathe in your exhaust fumes.

It blows hardar as the air is bypassing the pollen filter as its not required and hence makes it louder too as there is less attenuate to the sound.
