My heater won't blow cold unless I am on a long journey if I have to stop mid journey when I set off again heater blows hot very quick any ideas please all I can think of is that the hot / cold control is not working help please
I think it's because the incoming air is sucked through the pollen filter which is up under the windscreen. I believe that when you stop the car after running it for a while the air under the bonnet gets very hot because it is not being circulated by the movement of the car thus when you re-start your journey the incoming air is very warm giving the impression that the heating is on. Mine does a similar thing until the warm air under the bonnet has dissipated then the incoming air cools down. I am assuming that your air con does not work either.
