Hi all,

Just introducing myself.
I’ve been at Seat owner for around 15 years but only just found this group

I’ve just bought a brand new 75 plate Cupra Formentor V1 1.5TSI, petrol/manual and am having problems with it just cutting out at junctions etc.
I’ve seen a thread about it elsewhere so won’t mention anymore about it here.

Anyway, thank you for letting me join.

Yeah funnily enough I found out about the group due to searching for help with this cutting out issue with the Formentor and a thread from this group came up!

Not one of my previous four Seat’s caused me any issues whatsoever!

Due to having an old phone at the time I’ve not got any photos of my first Seat, which was a 2nd hand 2007 1.4 Ibiza.
Then I got a new 2014 white Ibiza FR.
After that I stepped up to a lovely blue 18 plate Leon FR (pictured) and after that a 21 plate black Leon FR (pictured).

…and now I’ve got the 75 plate Fiord Blue Cupra Formentor which I took some night pics of as already needs a clean!
I love it but feel in obviously going to have to take it back to be looked at.

My experience with just cutting out is either:
-faulty crank position sensor (will not throw a fault code). Also gives problems with starting
-Plugged crankcase ventilation/oil separator

Did you get it scanned already?

Formentor looks great btw, hope you get it sorted soon so you can enjoy it again

Hi I'm trucker 25. Welcome to my world I'm new on here but I recently posted the problems I'm having with my new Cupra Leon Estate 1.5 TSI it has exactly the same problem engine cutting out it's been in my local dealership for 8 weeks yes I said 8 weeks Cupra are aware of the problems but are ot being helpful. Good luck at least I'm not aloan.
